Fading embers

As my garden settles down to get ready for winter, I had to capture the last faded colours of this lovely lace cap hydrangea. The flower heads naturally dry out in december and each year I use them to decorate my Christmas front door wreath, which is handy!

Gorgeous picture! I miss my little garden at my old house- the house where we are renting at the moment is sadly bare, save for the chicken. She is helpfully trying to brighten it up by shedding feathers everywhere!

I'm a bit like Audrey - we had a lovely garden with a stunning dark pink hydrangea but our new house has just loads of fir trees.
