" Laburnum arch "

I couldn't resist showing you this delightful view along a pathway in my neighbours front garden.
The bright yellow laburnum flowers jangle delicately in the breeze. It's very windy today!!

" Roses in bloom "

I've so enjoyed the Chelsea flower show this week, as I do every year, even though Alan Titchmarsh managed to refer to the general public as riff raff on Wednesday's show and had to spend several minutes back peddling!!
One of my favourites each year is the naming of new roses and you can imagine their heavenly scent, through the TV screen. It's a shame I didn't get to Chelsea in person this year, but I will celebrate with a few of my rose inspired items, many thanks for looking ♥

" Glorious garters "

I've been asked to make a custom wedding garter this week, which has reminded me of all the fabulous frillies I have in stock. I make up the main body of the garters on my sewing machine, then twice a year, I go off to Cornwall for a holiday and take a huge load of hand sewing with me. This is where I sit by the log fire, or in the woods, by the stream with my hand beading and the odd fox or squirrel for company!! Here's a few pics of my handy work. Send a message if you'd like a custom garter making...

"Pants on folksy!!"

I simply had to show off my latest purchase from a favourite folksy shop called pants and paper. I was fed up with storing my specs in a hard brown plastic case, with no personality and jumped at the chance to acquire this beautifully made fabric glasses case. The attention to detail is stunning, note the tiny tape measure! You can buy similar items and view the whole range of products at...

" Chelsea flower show "

I always look forward to " Chelsea ", at the end of may. It seems to herald the gateway to summer. The small gardens are a favourite of mine, with loads of details crammed into a tiny place, a bit like some of the fiddly work I do! If you're attending Chelsea, or any other summer event, why not wear one of my garden inspired cocktail hats, which are all real head turners!

Yay for spring!!

I love this time of year when everything is fresh and new. As you know, I have a keen eye for colour co-ordination, which is particularly pleasing in my garden at the moment. Take a look at my lovely magenta tulips, leading the eye up to next doors fab cherry blossom!
